Mr. John Chapman; first owner, entrepreneur, cotton farmer & one of Twiggs County’s wealthiest mid-nineteenth century citizens.
i. Land deeded by his father William Chapman. (d. 1848)
ii. Since 1807, the Chapman family were landowners.
iii. William Chapman drew Land Lot 111 during 1807 Land Lottery.
iv. 1830 John Chapman acquired Land Lot 112 & part of lot 85.
v. John Chapman married 4 times & had 9 children. (d. 1892)
vi. Last wife & children ran Hollywood Farms until 19o6.

Rebuilding Macon while @
Hollywood Farms
Mission:
In partnership with the community, Building Macon repairs the homes of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety, and independence.
Rebuilding Macon is a nonprofit organization located near Hollywood Farms. They are working to preserve homeownership and neighborhoods by providing rehabilitation services free of charge to those in need. Last year, they rehabilitated and repaired over 260 homes! They too are shaping a more responsible and better future.
We welcome your visit to Hollywood Farms to exclusively participate in Rebuilding Macon or simply take an afternoon, or a day or two from your already planned stay. As you help build homes, your participation will ensure the elderly and disabled continue to live in warmth, safety, and independence.
We will soon be establishing the dates for the 2022/2023 season and look forward to your purposeful visit to Hollywood Farms. Remember, together we are shaping responsibly our next hundred years.

Be a Big Brother or Big Sister while @ Hollywood Farms

To create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
For over 68 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Georgia has provided carefully screened and trained mentors for youth; guiding them towards social responsibility and to avoid risky behaviors.
Today, they believe all children have potential and we agree! That is why we are inspired by their belief that as a community, we can help them discover this potential, ignite it, empower it, and defend it.
We welcome your visit to exclusively help Big Brothers Big Sister in their mission or to simply take an afternoon from your already planned stay. There are 4 ways you can make a difference:

Tell Them What You Do
During your stay at Hollywood Farms, we will drive you to the BBBS center where you will share with the children what you do as a profession. Our hope is the children learn and become inspired by a life opportunity they may have not known of before. It is a wonderful way for you to give them hope, to answer their questions, and to let them know what each one of them can expect and achieve should they ever choose to follow a career path like yours.

Virtual Mentorship
During your stay, we will visit the BBBS center and introduce you to children filled with potential. Today, ZOOM and other online video solutions have enabled the opportunity to help others from where you live. So should you choose to mentor a young child in Middle Georgia, video chats will help in more ways than you think.

Be Involved When You Arrive Home
During your stay, we will drive you to visit the BBBS center and meet with the children and volunteers. They will share with you who they are and how they do what they do. Since BBBS is a national organization, once you’ve arrived home from your trip, you may want to develop a more ongoing relationship with your community’s chapter. After all, there may be one closer than you think.

Upon visiting BBBS, you may choose to give vital and critical funds supporting what BBBS of Middle Georgia does and making sure they continue doing it for many more years to come.
