Mr. John Chapman; first owner, entrepreneur, cotton farmer & one of Twiggs County’s wealthiest mid-nineteenth century citizens.
i. Land deeded by his father William Chapman. (d. 1848)
ii. Since 1807, the Chapman family were landowners.
iii. William Chapman drew Land Lot 111 during 1807 Land Lottery.
iv. 1830 John Chapman acquired Land Lot 112 & part of lot 85.
v. John Chapman married 4 times & had 9 children. (d. 1892)
vi. Last wife & children ran Hollywood Farms until 19o6.

Wildrose will be at Hollywood Farms offering their Basic Gundog Training workshop (2-days, 3-nights) Mar 31- Apr 2. This event welcomes gundogs who are steady to heel, sit and hold-to-hand. Veranda & Vine will be educating us on the marvels and magic of wines with our meals on Saturday.
Mar 31- Apr 2: On our next Veranda & Vine Wine Experience, Terrye Schaetzel, founder & certified specialist of wine, will share with our Wildrose Gundog Training participants the marvels and magic of the wines of the South of France. Remember, our wine experience is designed for the novice and proficient alike, while being so much fun and richly informative.
